Introducing Fastskin™ FSII, Speedo's advanced, low-drag racing suit. These high-performance fabrics are positioned to accommodate the changing flow conditions along a swimmer's body.
I have purchased two of these suits for my daughter who is now 12. The first one we got when she was 10, and it lasts longer than any other technical suit she has worn. (The suit never really wore out, but the "Speedo" logo did come off.) The one point I would make about sizing is that this is a "youth" sized suit. The fit is considerably tighter than a regular sized adult suit, which is very good for competitive swimming but should be taken into account when ordering. This suit works best with a flatter chest and narrow hips. If you have a more developed body, I would recommend the regular Fastskin 2, which is sized for an adult female.
Bought this for my 9-year old daughter. She thinks its great and is really swimming well in it. She wears a 26 or 28 in workout suits, but got a 24 in this suit. It is definitely tight, but that''s the way it is supposed to be. Comes up higher on the hips and rear end than a regular suit. I would definitely recommend it.
This was my first tech suit. I got it because I was going to my first big meet and I dropped time in every event. HUGE amounts. After about 4 uses, it started to become a little less buoyant, but was still an amazing suit. It is lightweight. I wore a 30 at the time in my practice suit, and the sizing chart said a 28, so that''s what I got. I didn''t know anything about tech suits and I had no idea that they were supposed to fit super tight. Now I am a size 28 in a practice suit and would order a size 24 in a tech suit. Overall this has been a great suit for meets. I''ve had the same one for 1.5 years, and am noticing between the chest it''s thinning out a little bit, but that''s common with wear and use.
We have purchased this item in the past and have been greatly pleased with it and will continue to purchase this item.
I got this for my 10 year old daughter for state swim meet. Wasn''t sure about size, she had a size 22 that we bought one year ago and she wore that through an entire swim season and two state meets. I went back and forth between getting another 22 or going with a 24, and ultimately got the 24. She needed help getting the suit on the first time; she is on the small side, but needed help getting it pulled up over her rear end. Once she got in on, it fit perfectly. We probably could have squeezed her into a 22 but she was happy with how the 24 fit; it was plenty tight and she should be able to use it for the next year. She has been wearing size 26 for practice suits. Great price for a competition suit.
My 11 yr old of average build has worn size 24 in both the Aquablade and FS 2. This junior suit was way too tight and uncomfortable in a 24. Getting an exchange. Love the fast shipping tho.
Started with suit that was suggested by fit matrix. Too small. Ended up with same size as her practice suits that are a tad tight.
My daughter is 12 years old and slender. She wears a size 28 practice suit, and wears a 22 in this suit. It is tight and challenging to get on, but comfortable after it''s on. She got nearly 2 years of wear (swimming 10 - 12 meets per year) from her first one which was a size 20. This is a great, economical competition suit for youth.
This suit lasted a long time!
The best youth technical suit out there. We have tried three technical suits ( jammers included) and this one is awesome. A little tight so we got size 26 instead of 24 which my daughter usually wears. Extremely light, I would say 1/3 lighter than her normal practice suit and does not absorb water like normal suits, thus reducing the drag. Expensive for a little girl but well worth it

Speedo® is a household name for swimmers. The company was founded in 1914 by zealous hosiery manufacturer Alexander McRae. The name "Speedo" was adopted in 1928 along with the company slogan "Speed on in your Speedos." Since its inception, Speedo has outfitted Olympians, vacationers, and lifeguards. The company cloth is donned by children just learning to swim, and seasoned swimmers seeking a satisfying water workout.
Speedo has come a long way since being the brunt of questionable modesty jokes in its homeland of Australia. Fastskin, Speedo's revolutionary line, utilizes a patented fabric that incorporates stealth into swimming and mimics shark denticles to help reduce drag. The company's latest designs include the use of high-end fabrics, such as the Speedo FS II, Speedo XD Skin, and Speedo Endurance.
Speedo still manufacturers many of its classic suits, such as men's Speedo swimsuits, women's Speedo swimsuits and Speedo competition swimsuits. Speedo also offers a unique breakdown of swimsuits by modesty level, including the Speedo Contemporary, the Speedo Conservative line and the Speedo Moderate line. For swimmers looking to add fun to their routine, Speedo also features the popular lines Speedo Team Next and Speedo Flipturns, as well as Speedo Begin to Swim for the youngest swimmers.
