This is my first Sauvage swim suit.  I normally wear briefs, but wanted to try a suit with more coverage.  After years of wearing speedos, I just don't like baggy swim trunks.  The looser fit is nice for recreational swimming, but I prefer speedos for lap swimming.  It's very comfortable, especially with the side seams (rather than up the middle).  One downside is if you jump into the pool, the sides will ride up a few inches which you'll need pull them back down.  The main downside is when you initially come out of the water, there isn't much left to the imagination as the suit clings to your body.  I find my self adjusting by slightly pulling at the waist and leg openings to let in some air.  When getting out the of water, a speedo's snug fit doesn't have this issue.  I do like the comfortable fit and look of this suit.  With that comfort comes the two downsides, which is why I give this 4 rather than 5 stars.

This suit has held up so far, only three weeks use so far. I swim 3 times a week and have retired my other suits.
Holds its shape in and out of the pool  and keeps everything where it should be.
Since ordering the suit I have lost 5 lbs, but is true to size.

I was always keeping an eye out for a "modest" type of suit and found this to be perfect. Had the brief style for one trip south but you don't hardly see anyone in them. I even tried the jammer style but way too long for me. We walk up and down the beach all day to take in the sun and this is my go to suit. Even ordered a second to have on hand when first one wears out.

ABOUT THIS BRAND

Sauvage

Since 1985, Simon & Elizabeth Southwood have been growing a swimwear culture known simply as Sauvage. Elizabeth was born to a seamstress and has never looked back at her passion for apparel design. She and her boyfriend at the time, Simon Southwood, had a friend who needed some swim trunks for an upcoming vacation. Elizabeth offered to make him a swimsuit solely for the joy of making it. However he insisted on purchasing it. In that moment Simon had an epiphany, seeing a business opportunity to showcase Elizabeth's inspirations, and a men's swimwear line was born. Selling a small new men's line in Southern California quickly blossomed into a women's line being added to the mix, and both being sold worldwide. A family business since its inception, Sauvage is still headed by Simon & Elizabeth who continue to work tirelessly. Their son has grown into the business, sharing his passion for apparel, graphic design, and pride in Sauvage swimwear.

High quality standards and attention to detail make the Sauvage collections stand apart. Luxe-Sauvage is a resort style collection, unique prints featuring luxury cover-ups. Sauvage is fashion forward, sexy & always glamorous, always on trend, and features gorgeous Swarovski crystals - the best in the world. The Men's collection features European style swim trunks and most modern board shorts.

Every facet of the product development is handled at the Sauvage Headquarters in San Diego, CA. The process starts with an inspiration, goes through design, testing, and manufacturing here in their facility. Finished goods are then marketed, sold, and shipped under the same roof. Over time, Sauvage has found the only way to produce a product with integrity is to handle the entire process, setting them apart in this day and age.
