  • 7/12/2012 Neoprene

    rating star By Sherif

The problem you may face with this item, if you're not familiar with neoprene, is that it feels too tight & sticky. Unfortunately, the photos don't show the inside of it as it has the neoprene (a foam-like layer) which you may not expect. Moreover, the photos show the item as loose, or at least relaxed fit on the model which is totally misleading.
This item is intended to be tight fit only although it gives a good deal of relax after the first use, and is a real great value in comparison to other brand names, especially, with its water proof ear phones & case.
The wrong impression you get from the photos is the only thing that may let you return this item. I decided to keep it after I got used to the texture of neoprene, so don't give your judgement rapidly on this item.

  • 7/4/2012 Great SUP jacket

    rating star By Mike d

For the SO price I had to buy this on principle as it was less than a rash guard. Surprisingly it's pretty sweet. I wouldn't surf in it, I just think the center zipper is awkward for surf, but for SUP it's perfect. There is a zippered stash pocket in the back. Comes with mp3 dry bag, works well enough I keep my iPod nano inside. Headphones aren't great sounding but they do the job.
The neoprene is a poly blend I haven't seen before. It doesn't breathe very well but insulates a bit which is great in wind.

  • 6/19/2012 Thermal L/S Rash Guard Extral Large test

    rating star By kaneohebay

Extra large was to small. Material and quality was great. sound device pocket was to far back on left side. It was difficult to put water proof pouch back in pocket. The headphone connecting wire is so short in pocket it must be connected and zipped up before you put the rash guard on.  I use music and a tracking application while paddling.  I don't start program till I start paddling.  I used my own external ear buds and it worked great. I returned the Rash Guard because it did not fit.

Named after founder and surfer Rusty Preisendorfer, the philosophy of the Rusty™ brand is all about surfing. Rusty grew up surfing in the San Diego area and began shaping surf boards by the early 1970s. When he was starting out, Rusty shaped surfboards for 10 out of the top 16 surfers in the world under the Canyon™ label. Peter Townsend, a world champion surfer, suggested Rusty create his own label and that is when the "R-dot" or Rusty label was born.

Rusty expanded his collection of surfboards to include apparel and at the January Surf Expo in 1987, his R-Dot logo became a widely recognizable symbol throughout the surf world. Rusty's fresh look at the youth market is one of the reasons it has remained a leader in the industry for so long. Rusty board shorts, Rusty hoodies and Rusty rashguards are all top-of-the-line surf wear products that proudly delay the R-dot.

Even after all of the growth Rusty Preisendorfer's business has seen in the last twenty years, Rusty continues to dedicate himself and his team to evolving with and around the evolution of surfing. For example, the Rusty wired series has headphones in the draw cords so you can plug in your music player and pop in your ear plugs. With no headphone wires in the way, your Rusty wired rashguard or Rusty wired hoodie is a great example of how Rusty is staying ahead of the competition.
