Feel the freedom of a zip-free spring suit with the E Bomb Pro 2, the suit that combines seamless underarms and an advanced drainage system to keep you warmer and comfortable while on the waves.
I live in a climate where it''s still steamy hot summer, so this spring suit won''t be in the water until a month or so from now. This E-Bomb Pro with what Rip Curl calls E3+ super-stretchy neoprene "action panels" is Rip Curl''s best spring wetsuit (albeit they''re now, Sept. 2013, selling a slightly different version with the same neoprene). In terms of Rip Curl''s fit guide, I fit XL (but too short and too wide at the waist). It''s easy to get on (some chest entry suits are a struggle) and it fits fine, perhaps in part due to the stretchy neoprene material, which is a revelation after having used lower-end spring suits. The seams are also taped to keep water out, the first time I''ve encountered that high-end feature in a spring suit.
In Rip Curl''s sizing chart, I''m at the upper end for XL although in terms of height, I should be an L or LS. The suit is easy to put on and take off, and thanks to the amazingly stretchy rubber, very form-fitting. It''s comfortable for my neck, which measures 18 inches. The lining material is silky/slippery, helping with on and off, the rubber material is, as noted above, extremely stretchy (including compared to my Matuse Hoplite wetsuit). Inside taping of some seams and at all stress points is neatly done. The suit justifies its premium status in Rip Curl''s lineup. One small correction: this is Rip Curl''s best spring suit, an E-Bomb Pro, not an apparently non-existent Flash Bomb, a term Rip Curl apparently reserves for full suits. Check the photos. It''ll be used for cool-season bodysurfing, bodyboarding, surfing, and ocean swimming.
