  • 8/7/2015 perfect extra thermal layer for lap swimming

    rating star By Cecilia

    I'm 5'2", 120lbs, slender, 34B. The 4 fit me fine.

This is a great thin layer I wear for lap swimming, outside, in late afternoon or if it's a little cloudy, or master class. I'm one of those skinny people who gets cold quickly. It's thin enough that it allows for movement and doesn't bunch up my stomach, and thermal enough that it gives me that extra layer of warmth. Love it.

  • 8/11/2014 Stretches out

    rating star By Mary

Used this product for several years and worked in indoor cold pool. Then it changed. Now after several weeks the arms and torso stretch to the point of not being wearable. Tried a smaller size with same results.   Will not purchase again unless something changes.

  • 4/2/2012 Swimmin' in the rain -- or wind or sun

    rating star By Extreme Rehab

Water exercise in wind, cold rain, sunshine, more wind & rain -- and that was just last Saturday. I couldn't have done an hour-long workout without it.

  • 3/24/2012 O'Neill Women's Thermo Crew Rash Guard

    rating star By Carolyn T.

Very attractive design, high quality material and construction.
I purchased this product to keep me warm in the water.  It doesn't work as well at doing this as I had hoped.  It perhaps needs to be even tighter.  The water that gets trapped in the sleeves next to my skin doesn't seem to warm up.  So even though it is "thermo" it doesn't seem to keep the heat in as well as expected.  Perhaps this isn't really its function after all.

  • 11/10/2011 The smallest size is still too big

    rating star By Thomas M.

I bought this for a petite woman. I got the smallest size, which I believe was a 4 or an xs. She said it was loose around her neck and waist area. We both seek an extra-snug fit (because merely snug or loose stretches too much in water), so it may be good for a small woman who doesn't want her rashguard to be very tight, but it didn't work for my 5'3" 100 lb friend.

  • 7/28/2011 I love this rashguard

    rating star By Marty

My only complaint is that they stretch out in a few weeks of swimming in a chlorinated pool.

  • 12/21/2010 Winter swimming rashguard

    rating star By Lisa

Happy to report that sizing chart is accurate.  The style and color is very flattering, fabric and stitching is excellent quality.  Only complaint is that neckline tends to rise up and "choke" throat while swimming freestyle.  The design needs either larger armholes (to better allow overhand arm range of motion) or a looser neckline in order to be comfortable.

  • 11/13/2010 Nice Rashguard

    rating star By Smittie

I bought this rashguard to keep me warm while teaching swimming. I sometimes still get cold, but not as much as before. I not longer shiver and turn blue during long periods of teaching.  The first time I put the shirt on it was very tight, but since then it has been fine.  Would not want it any looser.  I am 5'5" and a thin framed 130lbs and bought a 10. Previous comments were helpful to me in making this purchase.  Thanks.

Jack O'Neill began surfing in 1952, before functional surf apparel was invented. While working for the Army Air Corps, O'Neill discovered neoprene foam in a DC-3 airplane. He then combined the neoprene carpeting with duct tape to create the first neoprene wetsuit.

Demand for O'Neill's neoprene wetsuits grew rapidly and he began a business selling the O'Neill wetsuits out of his garage. By 1980, he was a leader in the beach apparel industry with a thriving business. Since then, O'Neill™ has become a widely recognized and respected brand in the surf industry, continually creating new and innovative products. In addition to O'Neill wetsuits, they carry O'Neill boardshorts, O'Neill dresses, O'Neill hats, O'Neill rash guards, O'Neill swimsuits, O'Neill water shoes, O'Neill sandals, O'Neill life jackets and O'Neill t-shirts.

In addition to his business success, O'Neill also created a non-profit foundation for kids. O'Neill developed the O'Neill Sea Odyssey Program: a free, educational cruise that introduces kids to the microbiology of the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary, beginning at Jack O'Neill's doorstep.
