This wetsuit is brilliant.  O'neill really "gets" it when it comes to neoprene.  The stretch is truly amazing (especially for a 4/3) and the warmth has kept me surfing much longer in water that is usually in the lower 50"s.  Actually the suit may be too warm, but better too warm than too cold when it comes to water sports. Zero flushing by the way...

Here's my gripe.  I spoke with a guy that works at O'neill and he was raving about the Z.E.N zip.  I have always favored front zips.  Well, as expected, I got the rear zip on this suit snagged on the inner lining of the wetsuit and had to actually go home to get it off.  Real bummer.  I know it's user error on my part but a heads up as to what could happen when you're not paying attention would be appreciated.  The zipper snagged 2 inches of neoprene and it took some strength and finesse to back out the zipper. this suit if you like back zips.  If not, find a front zip like O'neill's RG8 series.

All major brands of wetsuits design, produce and sell quality/great products, but for me no other company does it all as well as O'neill.  The fit, materials and finish are simply the best, and the Psycho 3 in particular is terrific!

Jack O'Neill began surfing in 1952, before functional surf apparel was invented. While working for the Army Air Corps, O'Neill discovered neoprene foam in a DC-3 airplane. He then combined the neoprene carpeting with duct tape to create the first neoprene wetsuit.

Demand for O'Neill's neoprene wetsuits grew rapidly and he began a business selling the O'Neill wetsuits out of his garage. By 1980, he was a leader in the beach apparel industry with a thriving business. Since then, O'Neill™ has become a widely recognized and respected brand in the surf industry, continually creating new and innovative products. In addition to O'Neill wetsuits, they carry O'Neill boardshorts, O'Neill dresses, O'Neill hats, O'Neill rash guards, O'Neill swimsuits, O'Neill water shoes, O'Neill sandals, O'Neill life jackets and O'Neill t-shirts.

In addition to his business success, O'Neill also created a non-profit foundation for kids. O'Neill developed the O'Neill Sea Odyssey Program: a free, educational cruise that introduces kids to the microbiology of the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary, beginning at Jack O'Neill's doorstep.
