  • 6/27/2012 Very nice shirt

    rating star By Christy

This shirt fits my 12 year old daughter very nicely.   We bought an XS and love the shirt - very comfortable and nice fitting for swimming - not too baggy.

  • 6/1/2012 Great Fit

    rating star By Martha

I bought this for our upcoming vacation to Jamaica.  I haven't worn it in the sun/water yet but dry, the fit is great.  Not too tight and feels comfortable.  I like the color.

  • 4/10/2012 Loved It!

    rating star By RI Mom

I ordered this to match the  Tidepools Girls' Topsy Turvy Surf Trunks - Pink.  They matched beautifully.  My daughter doesn't like anything too tight - so the style really worked for her.

Not a true black.  I was very disappointed when I opened package to see this charcoal gray shirt

  • 2/10/2011 Exactly as described - great!

    rating star By Lura G.

Just like other reviews, this runs a little small.  I normally wear a medium (on the large side of medium), so ordered a large and it fits perfectly.  If you are on the small side of a size (like a borderline small/medium), the usual size might work well.  This top should fit snugly, so order accordingly. Oh, and the brand name is O'Neill Girls...and this is a women's item.  Wish they'd make this clear.

Jack O'Neill began surfing in 1952, before functional surf apparel was invented. While working for the Army Air Corps, O'Neill discovered neoprene foam in a DC-3 airplane. He then combined the neoprene carpeting with duct tape to create the first neoprene wetsuit.

Demand for O'Neill's neoprene wetsuits grew rapidly and he began a business selling the O'Neill wetsuits out of his garage. By 1980, he was a leader in the beach apparel industry with a thriving business. Since then, O'Neill™ has become a widely recognized and respected brand in the surf industry, continually creating new and innovative products. In addition to O'Neill wetsuits, they carry O'Neill boardshorts, O'Neill dresses, O'Neill hats, O'Neill rash guards, O'Neill swimsuits, O'Neill water shoes, O'Neill sandals, O'Neill life jackets and O'Neill t-shirts.

In addition to his business success, O'Neill also created a non-profit foundation for kids. O'Neill developed the O'Neill Sea Odyssey Program: a free, educational cruise that introduces kids to the microbiology of the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary, beginning at Jack O'Neill's doorstep.
