    Feels true to size

I've ran in them twice, once in the snow and in rainy muddy conditions.
In snow, it kept me very dry and did not rise significantly over the sides of the shoe.  I wore these with my "Columbia Men's Flightfoot Trail Running Shoes".  They did come up a bit in the back, but held tight on the laces.  I would consider some sort of strap attachment to be safe.
I had them attached on some other trail hiking shoes and in this condition held quite well on a 4 mile trail run in mud, on crushed limestone and dipped in some water.  Depending on how hard you run and conditions, the best gaiter situation is for light to medium hard run with mild to medium heavy conditions.
