For taller ,older and somewhat less flexible yoga devotees, these blocks provide great support and can really help you have confidence in trying various positions that were not easily available before.

These yoga blocks are great quality and lighter weight than the tall wooden blocks. it is hard to find these taller yoga blocks and as a tall person recovering from knee surgery having these tall blocks helps me to be stronger in my standing poses. The only reason I gave them a four instead of five star is that they had a slight chemical smell at first. Happily they no longer smell so the smell did go away after a week or 2.

I just used these at the studio and came home and bought 2! We used them on the rope wall for a supported downward dog and I have never felt so stable and confident; I was really able to get into the pose. We also used them for a supported pigeon against a ledge. I'm a bit short and my teacher had me stand on one of these. I was a bit wary because it is foam, but I can tell you that at 200lbs, this block was SOLID even standing on one leg. Again, my worries and anxiety released and I was able to dig into the pose. In sitting meditation I was finally able to find a hero pose without pain (no lotus for these hips) as my knees found a proper height and my sit bones had plenty of room. For those who struggle with flexibility or injuries, this is worth every penny! No wobble, no squish, no lean. They feel great! This is one beast of a block that I can't wait to incorporate into my restorative and active practices!

I love this 5" foam block for many reasons. I first started using it for a supported bridge pose when my knees were extra achy. I could get into the backbend without aggravating my knees. Another reason? It is a great size for those beginners to use in classes to feel the Triange or help to get into a deeper Lunge. As I am beginning to build my inventory for my future studio, I'm going to buy one of these blocks with each order! Hugger Mugger has been a top notch name in my experience.
