Go the distance in the DeSoto Men's 400 Mile Bike Shorts. Made with supportive, compressive materials, these cycling shorts help to reduce fatigue and boost performance as you race.
These are cycling shorts, and the ones for $147.95 are a newer model that come with Mobius bands on the legs, while these shorts do not. The Mobius bands are made of form-fitting, yet non-binding compressive fabric.

Great fitting bike shorts.
These shorts look a little different from the competition, I have owned many different brands some cheaper and some much more expensive but to date these are the most comfortable. After a few hundred miles of use the fabric is still looking good. I will be buying at least 2 more pairs in the future. Size large , normally wear 34/35 waist, these are a very good fit, also like pockets. My rides range from 2 to 4 hours on hilly roads. If you have been searching for comfortable well fitting bike shorts give these a try, yes they look a little different but you will like the comfort..

Fit: Feels true to size

great shorts! sizing is wrong.
Bought the Medium for a waist size of 30, following the sizing chart. It was too big! Had to return and get an S.
Fit: Feels too big
Best shorts I own
I just did Beach to Battleship. This was my first 140.6 distance race. I was concerned because despite the reviews these shorts were untested by me. My other pair of shorts would still leave me numb after mile 50 or so. I had no discomfort the whole 112. I am a bigger guy 230#. The pockets were easy access and the fit was perfect. I recommend these shorts to all. It was a game changer on the road. I passed several guys that were complaining about how much their seat hurt. Thank you. One of the best purchases I made this year!! Hands Down!!
So far, so good
I purchased these shorts for long century or double century rides, after having issues with the quality of other high-end shorts (from Sugoi, Pearl Izumi, and others).Things that are different from biking shorts I'm used to: It has a drawstring (no big deal); it has a pocket on each side which can probably hold one gel each (fine); it has a pocket in the back which I guess is for a credit card and/or ID (fine); it rides about an inch shorter on the leg when riding, compared with other cycling shorts (takes some getting used to).It also seems to be very well constructed and not prone to issues where more things are showing than people want to see.So far I've used them on a few rides of about 40-80 miles, and they are doing great. No century with them yet, but they seem solid. I'm going to try them on a century, and assuming they continue to have no issues, may purchase another.

This are TRI shorts, not BIKE shorts!
I am only giving this one star -- not because of the quality of the product -- although it does seem over priced --- but because it was improperly labeled as bike shorts. They are not bike shorts. They are tri shorts. Big difference! The TRI shorts appear to be good quality. I will keep them, just because I do triathlons and I need a new pair of tri shorts and returning them is too much of a hassle. Swim Outlet please be more precise in your product descriptions.
De Soto 400 mile cycling shorts
I don't know about 400, but 100 for sure!
Sizing was correct and they are the most comfortable chamois I have.

Best Bike Shorts
No chaffing, comfortable, functionally-perfect. Have ridden 2500+ miles this year in them and no complaints. What more do you need?
Better than most of the competition!
The cushioning is better than any shorts I have had but I still get sore on a ride of over 30 miles. If this excellent chamoix were about one inch more in each direction I think it would be an A rather than a B+.

The founders of DeSoto are Emilio De Soto and Dan Neyenhuis. Emilio De Soto is a triathlete who is racing in his 27th consecutive season of triathlon competition. He is also fully immersed in his athletic lifestyle as a fitness trainer and coach. Dan Neyenhuis is an age-grouper triathlete who has been helicopter skiing for 20 years. Together, they created a company that designs cutting edge triathlon gear for triathletes, by triathletes.
DeSoto gear is designed to enhance performance in each leg of the race. The founders created the first mesh running cap, zippered tri tops, pocketed tri shorts, transition packs, tri suits, and tri shorts with discreet pads for cycling.
One of their other achievements was creating the DeSoto T1 triathlon wetsuit that is two pieces instead of one. The DeSoto T1 triathlon wetsuit was designed to make a better fit for triathletes, and each year, more DeSoto tri tops and DeSoto tri shorts are being added to the line. DeSoto is still the only company in the world that makes a two-piece triathlon wetsuit.
