PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Aero Race 3.1 Cycling Jersey is built for speed. This jersey started the Aero revolution in 2007 that has since been imitated by nearly every manufacturer and team. It has undergone continuous evolution since then. The 2012 Aero Race 3.1 Cycling Jersey has improved airflow in the area behind the shoulders and along the side panels using some innovative basic aerodynamic research and consulting with leading experts.

• The most aerodynamic racing jersey made by Castelli.
• Saves approximately 12 watts at 40KM/H compared to a normal race-fit jersey.
• Velocity fabric on front and shoulders with prosecco treatment to keep you dry.
    - Prosecco hydrophilic treatment speeds up evaporation by spreading moisture over a larger surface area within the fabric. The 3-D structure of the fabric holds the surface off the skin, improving wicking and reducing cling, keeping you dry and comfortable.
• Open mesh back and side panels for breathability.
• Silicone print at front sides to induce turbulence.
• Nervato fabric at arm holes for improved aerodynamics.
• 35CM YKK® camlock zipper.
• Silicone gripper elastic at waist.
• Giro3 arm elastic for flat, aero fit.
• Imported.

ABOUT THIS BRAND

Castelli

Castelli has a rich history dating back multiple decades in the cycling community. In the 1940s, Armando Castelli, an Italian tailor, designed clothes for Gino Bartali, a famed cyclist. Designing clothes for Gino Bartali proved to be the catalyst for Armando Castelli's career. As a result of designing for a famous cyclist, one of Bartali's cycling rivals, Fausto Coppi, asked Armando Castelli to design a jersey that would make him faster in competitions. Castelli agreed and produced the first-ever silk cycling jersey.

Ever since, Castelli has become a true pioneer within cycling clothing production. Armando Castelli constantly thought about how he could improve his products which led to adding special details such as collars, pockets, and zippers. In 1977, Castelli made another innovation: the first Lycra cycling short. With a constantly evolving company, Castelli continues to create superior cycling clothing that boasts the latest technology.
