Show off your vintage style in the water with the Billabong Women's Vintage Wetsuit Short. This retro surf short is complete with a cheeky fit for all your water activities.
I was so excited about these, but when I got them and tried them on, I couldn't believe how ridiculous the cut was. There's not much coverage in the crotch, and the butt is cut out, leaving my butt cheeks hanging out and giving new meaning to "cheeky." They came up too high, to my belly button, and in the back it was a joke with how high they were and how high they came up my bottom. Also gave me a little muffin top and severely shortened my torso. Overall very unflattering, and also uncomfortable - the small crotch coverage is weird and wanted to dig up my crack. I thought they would be cute functional bottoms for surfing and wake surfing, but there's not enough coverage in the crotch or bottom, and too much up higher. Not really made for more athletic ladies if you ask me. I think if you have a smaller/flatter bum (that's perfectly toned), they could be cute. I ordered size 8 and am 5'8" 142 lbs. and they felt a little big, but I would have the same problems with the fit in a size 6.
Fit: Feels too big

Super cute, but runs big!
Billabong uses the stretchiest, most comfortable neoprene (I have Oneill and Excel products as well for comparison)! Their collection of springwear runs big though. And these shorts I would say run two sizes big (also keep in mind wetsuits get roomier once they're wet). So in my normal fullsuits in Xcel, I wear an 8T. In billabong's cheeky jane, long jane, and one piece neoprene swimsuit, I wear a 6 comfortably. But in these shorts, based on other reviews I read online, I ordered a 4. Super glad I did - perfect fit. For reference, I'm 5"11, 135lbs. 26 inch waist. 36 inch hip. 4 feels more like a 6. Reviews I read said the 6 fit more like an 8.

Flattering and functional!
I got these for a two week surf trip. They're really really flattering and comfortable. But most importantly, they STAY ON wipeout after wipeout. After nearly two weeks of active, daily wear, they're still in good shape (though maybe a little faded) and I never have to worry about losing my bottoms. Can get a little sweaty on land, FWIW.
Fit: Feels true to size
Super cute - size is larger than suggested
Feel and look great. Good coverage and 1mm warmth.

Billabong™ is one of the most recognized companies in the world that makes surf wear. In 1973, Billabong began when two men started making Billabong board shorts by hand. Now, after years of getting it right and making high-quality board shorts, Billabong is one of the most popular surf wear companies on an international level. Billabong rash guards, Billabong t-shirts, Billabong bikinis, Billabong hoodies, Billabong bags, Billabong shorts and Billabong hats are just a few of the products that have grown from the humble beginnings of handmade board shorts.
Billabong has several collections that target what is important to surfers. In the Billabong Bob Marley series, there are hoodies, t-shirts and board shorts with Rasta flair and Bob Marley prints. In keeping with the good vibes of nature and peace, in the Billabong recycler series, the goal is to get more plastic bottles out of the oceans and landfills and into your clothes. As of 2011, Billabong has recycled over 39,000,000 plastic bottles. That is an impressive amount of environmentally friendly board shorts, t-shirts and rash guards.
Billabong's high quality and durable beach wear is built to handle the waves and heat. In a billabong rashguard and board short, you are protected from the sun and from a clothing malfunction after a rough toss in the waves. Billabong is a name that is trusted the world over to have your back and keep you looking good whether you have a sporty, Rasta or beach chic groove.
