  • 1/9/2015 Really Good Suit

rating star By A dad of a swimmer

We purchased this suit for my daughter's  first tapper and shave meet.  The team had recently started to be sponsored by Arena so we decided to try this suit.  Her first two tech suits were Speedo LZR Elite and LZR Elite 2, she loved them both.  After this recent  meet she  felt this Arena R-Evo+ suit was just as good as the LZR Elites.  She dropped lots of time in every event, best meet of her life.  We are not saying it was do to the suit but the suit didn't hold her back. (She entered the meet with 1 Farwest cut and left with 5.)

The suit fit to her practice size and didn't lose any shape through out the meet.  The suit saw 6 prelims and 5 finals plus 2 relays in 3 days. (Note she doesn't wear the suit all day.  She will warm up and down in it but takes it off then rinses and drys it between events.  She never sits in it, even in a relay.)

Good suit for half the cost of the Top Suits.

    Nothing negative about the suit.

    rating star By Swimmer

This is a great suit! I am 5'9 140 pounds and in a size 28. This suit fits great on me and has helped me get some sectional cuts. I does have a smaller top, but as I am not very big, it fits perfectly.

  • 1/19/2016 Way too small!

    rating star By Chris J.

Purchased this suit as a step up from the ST.  Bought the same size (30) but was way too small.  Couldn't even pull it up past her knees!  The sizing chart is not accurate!  Will try a different tech suit!

  • 1/16/2016 LOVE THIS SUIT

    rating star By Xana

Without a taper I dropped 2 seconds in my 100 fly, 1 second in my 50 free. Definitely felt like it was due to this suit. Such a good deal right now everyone needs one! Make sure you put one leg fully on and then put the second leg on or else there's no way you'll get this on! I wore a size 26 and wear 24-26 practice suits and felt like this was the perfect fit and very tight! I definetly could not only feel the repel in the water but I could see it too! Love the higher neck coverage for butterfly and loved the high compression all over the body. Best tech suit I've ever had!

She has yet to use this suit. She loves her first one so much that we got her another for long course season.

  • 3/3/2016 Good suit for price, not great hip flexibility

    rating star By Maile R.

First off, I was very concerned about the reviews saying the suit was small. I used Arenas tech suit sizing guide and my daughter ( 5'4", 119 lbs) sized into a 26.  Previous suits include Speedo Lzr comfort strap (size 23) and Speedo Lazer Pro Recordbreaker (size 24). This was our first experience with Arena.  While the suit was definitely hard to get on (taking the standard 25-30 minutes the first time, mostly trying to get it over her rump!), it did loosen up with use. My daughter says the suit has good compression, "OK" water repellency and generally felt good in the water.
Her biggest two complaints were that she didn't have great hip flexibility (she's a breast stroker) and that the "seamless seam" is cut straight down the crotch area. She felt like she had a perpetual wedgie - not very comfortable and a bit distracting.
That said, she did cut some time (even in breast stroke) at HS state finals and she  will use the suit in club finals for all of her events except breast stroke. We got this suit on sale, so for the price, it was a great buy. We splurged on a Carbon Flex (her second Arena - will be reviewed soon...) for her breast stroke finals.

  • 2/4/2016 Suit ripped on first try

    rating star By college swimmer

I bought this suit for my conference meet. I went up a size from my usual 30 in a Speedo fastskin and while I was trying it on in my dorm room it ripped (not along a seam) all the way down my leg before I could even get it over my hips. This suit is great if you're a really slim person. but not for me (I'm a 5'9.5" butterflyer). Luckily, swim outlet's customer service was super nice and helpful!
