The Carbon Pro Open Back Full Body is Arena's updated FINA approved racing suit that combines carbon fibers and intelligent compression to help you compete at your best. To deliver a breakthrough solution to the compression challenge, Arena has incorporated carbon fiber into the weave of the POWERSKIN Carbon Pro fabric.

  • Open back design.
  • Short leg.
  • FINA approved.
  • Intelligent muscle compression:
    1. This protective grid regulates stretching and stiffens when the fabric reaches a critical stress level.
    2. Increases support and control where needed.
  • Power return construction:
    1. Strategic placement of internal tapes and low profile bonded seams ensure maximum power out of dives and turns.
    2. Unprecedented fit and free, easy feeling against the skin.
    3. Internal tapes on the legs aid 'spring back' action following each kick and turn.
    4. Tapes also assist in stretching prior to your race.
    5. Internal tapes placed at key areas provide maximum power out of dives and turns.
  • Optimum fit and freedom of movement remain at all times.
  • Minimum surface drag.
  • Ultimate drag reduction.
  • Water repellent coating.
  • Low profile bonded seams.
  • Mechanical resistance and durability:
    1. Integrated carbon threads ensure a stronger, more powerful fabric.
    2. Reduced chance of tear when putting it on.
  • Carbon fibers help neutralize electrostatic discharge on muscles.
  • POWERSKIN Carbon Pro endures stretch while remaining comfortable against the skin.
  • Maximum compression for support and control.
  • Improved surface integrity:
    1. High-performance woven fabric reinforced with carbon fiber delivers the ultimate strength-to-weight ratio for combined speed and power.
    2. Preservation of the integrity of the suit's surface in turn maximizes drag reduction and optimizes water repellency.
  • Outer shell: 52% Nylon / 47% Elastane / 1% Carbon.
  • Inner lining: 65% Nylon / 34% Elastane / 1% Carbon.

    Feels true to size

We just ordered this Arena, first time wearing an Arena tech suit. My daughter has always worn Speedo tech suits (Lazer) because our year round team is sponsored by Speedo. We ordered this one for her high school state meet.  Let me just warn you that the sizing is very different from Speedo tech suits! My daughter wears a 24 in a laser, so I went up one size in the Arena to a 26 (had heard they run small).  She couldnt even get in a 26. I returned it and ordered a 30 which is her practice suit size. I read somewhere that in an Arena to order practice suit size. We received the size 30 and it fit well...the only place it was a little big was the chest area.  The Arena suits don't stretch in the way the Speedo suit does so I encourage you to order bigger than Speedo size.  Once on, the suit gave wonderful compression!  She has not worn it yet in a meet, but I'm anxious to see how it performs.  She said it felt great on compared to the Speedo which is paper thin.  Again, I believe the Arena gives greater compression than speedo which is important for girls.

    Feels too small

The swimmer wears a 25-26 practice suit.  We started with the Arena Pro (size  22)--a perfect snug fit with no growing room.  The swimmer is five feet and  98#.  We upgraded to the Carbon Pro and selected the same size since the brand was unchanged.  Wrong!  The 22 Carbon Pro was way too small.  It was returned.  At a later date, the swimmer had a chance to try on the Carbon Pro in an exhibition.  A perfect fit was 24!  Do not deviate far from actual size!  Charts are helpful but Arena sizing in one design does not ensure fixed size for all Arena products.

    Feels too small

My daughter usually wears a 32.  She is 5"8", and wears size 7 pants.  She could not get this suit over her thighs.  We are going to try a 34.

    Feels too small

I am a size 28/30 in practice suits but when I got a Speedo LZR I got it in a size 24 which is perfect for me but when I got the Arena I supposed it would be about the same and I ordered it for high school regional championships. But when I went to swim with it at regionals I added 4 seconds on my 200 IM because the shoulders were too tight and it was impossible to squeeze my butt in the suit. I had a friend help me put on my suit and it fit but swimming with it was a whole other story. I am currently returning the suit for a bigger size I am thinking size 28.

    Feels true to size

This was our first time trying something other than Speedo.  The suit is a bit more snug than others - for example my daughter wears a 22 in Speedo tech suits but wore a 24 in Arena.  The compression and fit were perfect for her body.   My daughter is tall and slender.  It took between 10-15 mins to get the suit on but no complaints once she got it on.  She said it felt good in the water!  She got her best times while wearing this suit.   She wore it for 8 races at JR OLYMPICS meet and it doesn't repel the water like it did at first - which is to be expected.  If your daughter is a true competitor I highly recommend the suit.

    Feels too small

Absolutely the best suit on the market right now.  Be wary of how tight this suit runs; will be equal to your practice suit or possibly one size up.  This suit does not stretch and runs small.  Worth the price.

    Feels too small

We have been struggling to find a tech suit for my daughter with a good fit for over a year.  The Speedo LZR elite never fit quite right.  Bagging on outer thighs and painful shoulder straps.  Our team is sponsored by ARENA so we thought we would give this suit a try.  We ordered two sizes up from the Speedo tech suit as suggested (her practice suit size).  My swimmer has broad shoulders and very thick legs.  We ordered a 28. It took some work to get on (big struggle to get it over her caboose).  Once on it fit like a second skin! No bagging, no painful straps, no stretching.  Kept its original shape! The best fit ever.  She will be wearing this suit for our State Championship Meet, Sectionals, and Zones.  Awesome product.

    Feels too small

The 30 was too small, and she wears a 30 in practice. We went up to the 32 which fit her long torso and broad shoulders better. It only took 15-20 minutes to put on, compared to 30+ minutes in other tech suit brands. Arena makes a superb product.

    Feels too small

we found that it isn't similar to any other tech suit - it should be sized as a training suit.

    Feels too small

This seems like an amazing suit, but be careful when ordering  your size. I wear a size 25 in my LZR but I couldn't even get a size 32 of the arena over my butt! If you have a butt or boobs I don't suggest this suit, because it doesn't stretch when you are putting it on. But if you have a straight figure, go for it. I've read that it is a really fast suit!
