  • 5/6/2014 Really Comfortable

    rating star By Coaster

I am extremely pleased with this product.  I weigh 162 and love to swim using just my upper body.  This buoy straps onto several leg positions.  Just above the knees is great for breast stroke, just below the knees is better for crawl stroke.  I have also placed the buoy at my ankles and used it for back stroke.  It is very comfortable, the strap is wide and easy to work with.  Seriously, this is a great product that makes swimming a better training exercise.

  • 1/3/2014 Good Idea But The Design Needs Work

    rating star By Blake

I had been having a bit of trouble keeping a traditional buoy in place during my longer pull sets so I thought I would give this one a try.

The first time I used the Aqua Sphere buoy one of the plastic inserts that holds the strap pulled away from the buoy on every turn.  That was easy enough to fix.  I just glued the insert to the buoy.

Now just the strap pulls out of the slot on every turn.  I'm going to have to come up with some sort of keeper to help keep the strap in place if I am going to keep using this buoy.

The bottom line is that the nice wide and comfortable strap on this buoy catches gobs of water when I push off of the wall on a turn.  I don't mind the extra resistance the strap causes, that is what a buoy should be providing.  There just needs to be a more secure way to keep the strap in place on a turn.

This would be an excellent device for open water swimmers that don't turn much.

  • 7/27/2013 Easy to use pull buoy,

    rating star By Gary M.

I can keep this pull buoy in place very easily when it gets loose during a lap am able to easily getit to lift back into position during turn. Of cours I use an open turn not a flip turn and that makes the buoy slide back up into position between upper thighs also able to use this as a pull-kick buoy since it is easier to keep in place.

Good product, though the strap does not stay tight.
