Move from London England to St. Louis Missouri. It's so so different. My girls use to belong to swimming club and they enjoy it very much in London. Now they swim in high school team and join the swim club. My girls said U.S. is the the land of opportunities. They are hopping some day they can make it just like Ryan and others. It's so great to see him give back to swimming world. It will be even better for the girls to meet him:)
Very cool! This makes me think better of him. He came to Minnesota, but kept to himself, wore his shades all the time, and didn't seem to want to be bothered. He, as well as the other Olympic swimmers, can really help keep interest in the sport by reaching out to the younger kids and give them inspiration to keep swimming.
I totally agree Barb. We met Ryan at the Austin Grand Prix and he was so kind to all the kids and adults. He posed endlessly for pics and autographs. He talked to the kids before and after races and acted like he was just another swimmer unlike other olympians who ducked out the back door and ignored requests for autographs. I have never seen or met another star who is as generous as Ryan Lochte.
Thanks Ryan Lotche for giving your time to the amazing young swimmers in the USA. Some clubs... Olympics bound. Some clubs... college prep. Eldon Dolphins -- A summer league -- community spirit -- team spirit -- serving all abilities -- all of them have the heartbeat of chamions. God Bless!
I know our team would love to have him come and get us going. We are a group from different communties and ages that love to swim. I would love if it could happen to us!!!! Swimming is the best sport anyone can have for life!!!
I met Ryan at the Golden Goggle awards (I won my trip from Splash Magazine) and Ryan was so nice to me, took his time to talk to me and take pictures, and above all is a very humble person!
Great for Ryan Lochte! Ryan got a success step from swimming to the ambassador of swimoutlet.com. What a great role swimmer rather than others from USA that can make friendship easily. Some teens were surprised. Which swimming team he taught on this video?
That's pretty awesome..... I thought it was funny slipping Mel Stewart in at the end as the camera man. I wonder if he shot and directed the whole video?
This was very cool! Our Ponitz swim team takes High school students teaches them to swim and then puts them on a swim team for our High School. This is just our second year and we are having a BLAST!
This year we had 17 on the team 12 of them just learned to swim in September! They continue Dropping time and learning to love the sport. A visit to our team would be incredible!
Has Ryan given any thought to some international travel? I help coordinate a swim team of some 56 kids at the American Community School in Amman, Jordan. We are parent-run and parent funded and always appreciate any support and encouragement along the way. We have a coach who is a former Jordanian national swimmer who puts in long hours to coach our kids as well as others. We could offer Ryan free room and board! Despite what you might see on the news, Amman is quiet and life goes on.
We love him .He is suchs a fantastic representative for the sport .My kids admire him a lot because of his hard work to success in swimming .RYAN YOU'RE THE BEST .
Wow, this is great! The E-town dolphins team is a small team that is growing every year and the last 2 years they have come a million miles with our new coaching staff. They are so motivated and work hard and are dropping time like crazy. Our last meet we had 3 High Point winners and many many State A cut times. To have Ryan Lochte show up at our pool in Kentucky would be so HUGE for our team. Please pick us! :-) Cudos to SwimOutlet.com!
This is amazing! Swimming really isn't a sport where the spotlight shines often, so it's great to put those role models back in contact with the kids just starting off and keep them motivated. I can't even imagine how they must feel, I know I'd be super impressed - hehe
Fort Frances Aquanauts Swim Team (FFAST) would be blown away if Ryan Lochte came to visit our club. A couple of our senior swimmers are in Ottawa at the provincials rights now medalling out. We are a very small club, in a small town. This would simple be an extraordinary opportunity for them all (including coaches and parents). Kudos swimoutlet.com and Ryan for allowing this opporuntity to these young athletes!
