Excellent Lid to Protect From Rays

Excellent lid for those concerned with keepin'' the noggin'' protected from the sun while in the water. Cap stayed on punching through white water, turning turtle, and a few head-over-heels wipeouts in head high waves!
Flip brim works well for paddling and surfing, would be better if a bit more flexible. Stayed up when pushing through oncoming swell. With brim down, great to have shade on eyes, cuts surface glare, while watching for the next set!
Ear flaps keep the rays off the ears without feeling confined and chin strap is long enough to get around my big head. Adjustment is easy. Hat comes in one size fits all with rear adjust. Hat doesn''t get hot on in sunny weather. Don''t know if it is SPF rated, but bought primarily to beat the potential skin cancer that my doc already has warned me that I''m susceptible to.
This style works better than a brimmed version for quick recovery after a wipeout. Not pushing the brim around, draining water, trying to get vision...
Cap is well made with covered seams and dries quick being made of 100% nylon.

This works! Go for it...

Dakine Indo Hat

I bought this hat because of the neck hood feature.
The fit is comfortable, and the brim works well. It is light and keeps the sun off my head and neck, and the price is reasonable.

I''m not a big fan of the plastic chin snap, I prefer velcro, and the chin strap is about 2 inches too short. This is the only reason I gave this lid 4 stars rather than 5.
I would buy another one if I needed to.

This is not only a very well made watch, it has tons of features that I wanted in a watch for my swimmer husband and it is quite handsome and large. The fit was perfect because of the many different adjustable holes to fit the wrist and this watch is very sturdy. Also the hands are glow in the dark! The only downside is the manual that come with the watch, it is written for several watches and it''s hard to figure out what applies to this specific watch..so we are figuring it out on our own, which can be done. I would totally recommend this watch to the water lover, my husband is an ex-triathlete and now only swims and is in love with his new watch!
