With summer on the horizon, we've got music festivals on our mind. Nothing says summer like road trips to the desert with your besties, bohemian fringe and bikinis in toll-- right? Before you get swept away to your musical oasis, we're talking festival fashions from SwimOutlet.com. Whether you're going to a local music in the park event, or making the infamous trek to Indio, we've got you covered (literally).
There are three key components when packing for festival fun; 1) prints and crochet are an endless love affair 2) the more fringe the better 3) keep cool, and look cooler
Nine times out of ten, a festival getaway typically involves three (or more...) outfits, an unnecessary amount of accessories, and swimsuits for post-concert pool parties. Here's what we're packing;

Swimming isn't just a sport, it's a lifestyle. From the outside looking in you can’t understand it, and from the inside looking out you can’t describe it.
If there's one thing we love about swimming, it's the unspoken bond you have with other swimmers worldwide. They don't just accept you for your weird (and sometimes questionable) devotion, they understand it. Whether it's excitement, dread, nerves, frustrations, joy, exhaustion, victories or losses-- swimmers just get it.
Here are 20 things only swimmers understand;
1. Going to school after a hard morning practice is the worst thing in the world.
2. There's never a wrong time for pizza.Read More
This Saturday, September 27, the Art Institute (AI) of California - Silicon Valley is hosting their annual portfolio show. This event, put on by the AI students and faculty, showcases innovative design and fashion talents. SwimOutlet.com is proud to announce that we have partnered with the AI students and donated Sporti swimwear, accessories and gear to help make their visions come to life on the runway.
In honor of our sponsorship, we selected one AI student to interview prior to the event. Nicole Przemielewski, AI fashion student, shares her journey, inspirations and goals. Get to know Nicole:Read More
As the last of summer's seashells are washing back to sea, we're packing up our beach blankets and hanging up our surfboards. Although we're sad to see the care-free days in bikinis go, we're welcoming sweater weather with open arms. Whether it's the football, all of the pumpkin-spiced goodies, the autumn leaves, the cozy candles, or the fun new fashions after a summer in cut-offs and tanks-- there's just something so refreshing about fall.
As swimmers, we know that we don't get to hang up our swimsuits and goggles just because the summer sun is setting (do we ever get a break?). But regardless of our countless hours in speedos and our chlorine hair tied up in knots, we can't help but fall in love with all of the fall fashions this year. Here are some of our favorites:
We’re sad to say it, but Mercedes Benz [Fashion] Swim Week has come to an end. It was fun while it lasted—the clear, blue ocean, palm trees, the salty breeze, and how could we forget the amazing runway shows. We could talk about the Miami madness all day, but what really left us wanting more was the sneak peek of all of the hottest new trends for 2015. Miami left us with sand in our shoes, and a new love for fashion swim in our souls. Here’s what you can expect by the water in 2015:
Stand up paddle boarding? Beach Volleyball? Jet Skiing? We’ve got you covered! Cropped Rashguards give you the ability to stay active, and the freedom to still show a little skin. Rashguards have come a long way from the solid black tops that they once were. In 2015 you will see the fitness fashionista in crops, zip ups, one pieces, and fun prints.Read More
In the era before Michael Phelps, there was Matt Biondi. Biondi is one of the most successful and decorated swimmers in Olympic history. By the time he retired, Biondi won eleven Olympic medals and competed in three Olympic games (1984, 1988, 1992). At the 1988 Seoul Olympics, Biondi turned in one of the greatest performances the world had ever seen. He broke four World Records and won seven Olympic medals: five gold, one silver and one bronze.
Biondi’s optimism and drive for success are as equally well known as his Olympic feats. After retiring from swimming, Biondi has continued to inspire others as a teacher and swim coach and instills the same drive for success that helped him becom one of the most dominant competitors in the sport. At the 2014 USMS Marriott National Championships, Biondi returned to the competitive arena and swam in his first meet since retiring from swimming. He swam the 50 and 100 free, posting times of 21.48 and 46.83, respectively.
In true Biondi fashion, his comment afterwards was simply, “I can go faster.” For Biondi, he has always focused on what he calls his “Five Pillars of Success,” which we wanted to break down for you. These have become staples of his clinic and club appearances.Read More
Coaches are the backbone of any swim team. They offer motivation, support, advice, praise and criticism.
Without a swim coach, many swimmers might not have the self-discipline and determination necessary to achieve success.
For that reason, SwimOutlet.com has teamed up with the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (NISCA) – the organization of high school swim coaches – to celebrate a monthly SwimOutlet.com Interscholastic Coach of the Month Award.
For July, we would like to acknowledge coach Howard Schein from Urbana, Illinois who has been a dedicated coach for 14 years!Read More
The five-day countdown to summer has officially begun. With that in mind, we’ve tucked away our parkas (for now) and we’re packing up our beach bags. Although we love our tech suits and goggles, we can’t help but share the fashion forecast for the 2014 summer season. Here are the styles that you can expect to see under the sun this year…
With the end of the year approaching, it is time to tuck away your swimsuits and pull out your sweaters. Regardless of whether you are dreaming of a white Christmas, planning a holiday in the sun, or going home for the holidays—you’ll need some cozy and festive fashions to dress for the occasion. To make your packing extra easy for your holiday away, we created a comfy-chic combo of our winter favorites. Take a look in our Christmas closet:
When the days get shorter and the weather gets cooler, you have two options: you can either bundle up and face the frost, or retreat to a holiday in the sun. If you’re spending your holidays on the sand, instead of the snow, here’s some stylish items you just might want to bring with you.
Regardless of the destination, you will need a trendy-tote to carry your holiday necessities with you. We love the versatility of the Physician Endorsed Anaconda Straw Bag. The bonus? This tote comes with a matching hat—so you can trade your beanie for a beach hat.Read More
Just when you were starting to show off your sun-tan, you notice the season changing. In fall, a brisk breeze accompanies the sunshine, and the days begin to shorten. It might just be time to retire your cut-offs and pull out your cardigans from the depths of your closet. As much as we'd like to embrace the idea of an endless summer, there are so many great things about fall, and we are all over this season's fresh fall fashions.Read More
Imagine walking down the beach, in the glistening sun. As you're strolling through the salty air and soft sand, you notice: all eyes are on you. Immediately, you wonder if your new, colorful swimsuit is twisted in all the wrong ways. Why else would all of these people be looking?Read More

Many women may stray away from shopping for swimsuits due to the anxiety of not finding the right size or fit for their body type. This might be especially true for the plus size shopper, because there is a belief that plus size swimwear is very limited with its product offerings. However, that is certainly not the case. In the past few years, plus size swimwear has become very fashion-forward. Many plus size suits include slimming features, bold prints, and fashion-forwards designs. And when it comes to a great selection of plus size swimwear, SwimOutlet.com has its customers covered!Read More

The growing popularity of lightweight running shoes has been building for the past several years, but what seemed to be primarily a fashion-driven movement done for looks and style has very much become a functional development as some of the best running brands have entered into the category with terrific designs.
A few of the brands that focus on running technology have been putting a greater emphasis on making these lightweight shoes into terrific running shoes by their own accounts – not just resting on the laurels of the low-profile silhouette itself.
The New Balance 890v3 very much falls into this category: a good-looking, lightweight shoe that still doubles as a terrific runner. At 9.55 oz, it’s roughly 25% lighter than New Balance’s classic 990v3 design – so it checks the lightweight test.Read More
