Reyn McCullough owned a successful men's warehouse on Catalina Island. But, he was always drawn to the Hawaiian Islands. One day, he decided to follow his dream and he moved his family to Hawaii.
McCullough opened a few stores throughout Hawaii and was soon successful enough to sell his business in Catalina. He then focused on building his stores in the Mid-Pacific.
Reyn met Ruth Spooner and the two established a partnership. Spooner had an established reputation for creating the best custom surf trunks on the islands. They created and designed swimwear and shirts, and merged their two companies together to create Reyn Spooner™. The brand's quality apparel, Aloha Summer, continues to gain popularity throughout the Pacific and North America.
