As an other reviewer mentioned, I'm also a triathlete and use this for open water workouts. The strap is long enough that the tube tows behind without interfering with my kick. Easily supports my weight and adds an important element of safety to long open water swims. Great price, too. |

This red float for emergencies is very sturdy, easy to grab onto in the water, and easy to store by the pool. We compared prices of these from several pool web sites and this was the best deal and is great quality. |

I connect the long end of the tie to my ankle using a small dog collar and pull it along as a safety net while swimming in open water. (collar around the ankle, tie loop inside the collar) It is very buoyant and gives me peace of mind. I do not notice any significant drag and would highly recommend it for this purpose. |

I've used the lifeguard tube for about a month while training for a triathlon. I like how it's lightweight while dragging behind and it's a good marker so boats can see me. However, two issues I have are (1) I wish the strap that goes around my shoulder was adjustable so it doesn't fall off my shoulder during swimming and (2) the drag strap gets caught around my legs often. |
