The H2O man is a fantastic product for the pool. I swim laps (crawl stroke only) for 30 minutes and can't imagine doing it without the H2O man. It is easy to download mp3's to the unit; the AAA battery lasts a couple of weeks on my schedule. If you have small ear canals there might be some discomfort in setting the earphones. I found that the wires flopped around too much for my taste when using the armband holder, so I attach the unit to the back of my trunks. I'm currently on my third unit (wore one out and the next one was stolen), and will always have an H2O man in my swim bag.
Makes lap swimming time a lot of fun.
I like this product a lot. I am ordering my second one. Forgot to tighten the case before swimming one day or I would still be on my first one. The earphones work fine for me. I clip it to the front of my trunks but only do the crawl so not sure how it would work with other strokes. The sound in the water is good. Out of the water it is okay but then I bought it to use in the water. I didn't think loading the music was that hard.
I'm sorry I wasted the money on this. Was looking forward to swimming with this and now it will probably go in the trash unused.First of all had a real hard time putting music on it. The instructions are terrible. Even my friends 12 year old daughter couldn't do it. Eventually got one song on and it and it won't play. There's only 3 buttons and the green lights coming on and flashing but nothing. It's been over a year now and am looking for another device to swim with. absolute junk!
I can't get the ear plugs to stay in my ears. I've tried modifying the rubber adapters with no luck. I've been told that I can purchase different adapters but that is another $20 and who knows if they'll work. I'm so disappointed, I was really looking forward to tunes in the pool!
Had high hopes for this, and in truth the MP3 player is fine and all water proof, synced from PC no worries. What it totally fails at is to stay in my ears while swimming. Kind of a bad thing considering that's the whole point. I guess I'm back to swimming and thinking not swimming and listening.
This is the first waterproof MP3 player I've owned. The first time I used it I had a hard time keeping the earbuds in my ears. I trimmed the silicone ear bud covers because they felt too long, but after I trimmed them they were too short and kept coming out. It came with two sets of earbud covers so I switched them out and stuck them in my ears as far as I could, and they worked much better. They were a little uncomfortable at first, but I got used to them. I also tried clipping the player to my goggle straps, but that didn't work so well. I moved it to the back of my trunks and ran the headphone cord down my back, and it worked much better. I have an Ipod, so I had to convert my Itunes music to MP3. I tried to convert using the directions they provide, but it didn't work. I had to burn disks and import them into the Windows Media Player, which took some time and was kind of a pain. The unit itself works well. The sound isn't as good as an Ipod, but you can't have everything. Overall its a good value and it makes swimming laps much less tedious. I was a little frustrated with it the first time I used it, but now that I've got the hang of it, I'm very pleased with it.
Works well, holds aboyt 10 hours of music, 1 aaa bat powers it for about 8 to 10 hours, don't use the wrist band, instead clip it to the back of your goggles. Tuck the extra heahphone wire in the goggles and you wont even know its there.I dont do the back stroke but I do the breast, buterfly and free with out any problems.
Swimming laps can get boring sometimes and I find my self not working as hard as I should. Listening to energizing music really gets me going and makes me work a lot harder. It also makes the time fly by and I find myself swimming longer than I did before. This is a GREAT workout partner.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my waterproof MP3. With the music in my ears, I will swim for an hour or more without even realizing it.The instructions for setting up the player are a bit difficult to understand and you have to get used to how the volume/rewind/forward keys operate, but after that, it's smooth sailing. The MP3's casing is a bit bulky, but again, you get used to it. It hooks easily to your swimsuit and stays in place while you swim.I am the envy of all the other lap swimmers at the pool! Excellent investment.
