I kept trying to keep these on my arms, they kept slipping off my fingers.
By franimal from Page, AZ on 8/1/2009

Disruptive, not educational. Kept pinching my forearms, and slipping off my fingers. So they felt too small around the forearm, too short from forearm to fingers.I didn't use them for long.

good product --

The Finis Forearm Fulcrum is a good product for limited use to help swimmers use a high elbow catch, or early vertical forearm (EVF). I bought it thinking I would use it more for freestyle, but I think it is actually easier to use and more helpful for breaststroke.

For the price, it's a good product to use on a limited basis.

Next race will be the real test, but these have definitely made me correct the stroke on my left side.  Apparently I was okay on the right side.  It really did not feel like I had anything on the right side, but the left side was really noticeably different.  I am also making it across the pool with fewer strokes now.

Found these to be pretty helpful right at the start!

It didn't take too long to get used to these on my forearms and within about 4 laps (100m) I had a much better feel of my arm entry through the  catch and pull.  I didn't think these were disruptive of my stroke and I found myself beginning to quickly swim faster as I had correct technique.
Furthermore, after taking them off and doing laps w/out the fulcrum paddles, the correct positioned was engrained into my stroke. I will continue to use these with every swim session to get that muscle memory of the right arm position.   These are great as I hate doing other drills to develop and maintain my stroke and arm entry. I just like getting in the pool and swimming.

Forearm Fulcrum Paddle
By Coach C. from Green Bay, WI on 3/18/2009
Size: Feels too small

1. Helps keep elbow high.  Would however like a longer version as I feel it would keep elbow a bit higher.
2.  Small instructional diagram on inside of paddle.  Would like to see better visual aid for proper use.
3. Recommended by fellow triathlete and would generally recommend for those working on technique.

Great at positioning high elbows -
can be a bit awkward with extended laps

Finis Forearm Fulcrum Paddle

My daughter's coach recommended we buy this paddle.  My daughter has a tenancy to reach over her head in backstroke too far.  This causes her not to get the right pull.  This paddle helps to place her arms correctly and stroke right.  With practice she will get the feel and be able to do it with out the paddles in competition.

Solves chronic bad habit problem

I had a problem with bending my wrist during the swimming pull. This tool corrected it. Also great for helping to make sure you pull with entire forearm during your stroke.
