the women I coach love to try these out, real challenge to improve and move on to the next harder one, very useful
i used snorkel,water stretch cords, fulcrum etc.... which gives me to do workouts easily, before it is very difficult now-a- days i feel better with this equipment
this bunjee cord is one of the best ones i've used. even better than the "stretchcordz" brand. it doesnt wear out as fast and its more comfortable and comes with a mesh bag. all that aside, im not the fastest swimmer,but i have a lot of endurance, and i swim a lot of distance events, my coach recommended i buy a bungee because theyre great for increasing your speed.
I am training for a tri and our pool is too small to do full laps. With this leash, I am able to remain in the center of the pool and time myself. Every 2 weeks I go to an olympic pool to time my distance and my strokes are stronger since using the resistance. The line is too long, I really need a 10 foot line, but I doubled it and it gave me stronger resistance. 2 other friends bought one and love using it for endurance training.
I am a youth swim coach and a triathlete. I love to use this product in the pool to build speed by swimming hard and endurance by swimming slower and having the leash keep me stationary. Having the leash keep me stationary is good triathlon training because there are no walls to push off of in the ocean for triathlons. The kids on my swim team also enjoy trying to swim to the other side of the pool even though none of them can make it yet. This product is easy to use for all four strokes. Swimoutlet had the best price I could find for this or any similar product.
I found that when in short motel pools I could double the leash up and thus shorten the leash so I could work out in very small motel pools. It seems that wearing fins helps to keep my legs up, where as they tend to sink because of the stationary excersize
I bought the training leash to extend my swim excersize in a 30 foot home pool. It is really a resistence tool, and does not work well for casual swimming in place. I would only reccomend it for serious conditioning.
