This parka is very well made. The quality is as good or better than the Nike parka I bought for my daughter last fall. It fits my son very well, but with only a tiny bit of room to grow. I bought him a youth large and he is a slim 8 year old. I thought the parka would be larger than it is. Definitely buy a size up from what you think your kid would wear. I would have liked the parka to be more oversized. It''s a good value though.

for my 11yrs olds (YL was perfect- but no room to grow more...buy a size up...my twins are 70lbs and under 5'0"). Purchased a YM for my 7yr old .perfect. Received morning of an invitational with heavy rains all 6 hrs. Parka kept them warm and importantly...dry! Great quality and countless pockets that my kids are still discovering. For growing kids at a price point you can afford and you get great quality that will likely last longer than your kids will keep fitting into it...

My son really loves his new swim parka. It keeps him nice and warm after swim practice on a cold day. He loves how soft it feels inside and he likes the pockets.

Looked everywhere for a reasonable parka that was well made. SoCal had a cold spell so we were in desparate need of one for son''s evening training (it dipped into the 30''s! Brrr for us.) and couldnt find one in any stores here. Considered the Nike until I saw reviews on this one. Love this parka! After reading comments about sizing, bought large for son who is 53" tall and slim built. And it was just the fit I wanted. It hits just at the calf so it will keep his legs warm and is roomy enough for comfort and a couple more years use. The wrist elastic is snug as others noted, but if you roll sleeves up before putting on when arms are wet, its a lot easier. It''s really not a big deal. Son loves the cozy warm fleece lining. The shipping was free, but it takes about a week to get here. My only regret was not getting 1 day shipping. The parka arrived after the cold spell was over and Evenings are now back to the balmy 50''s but son still loves wearing it. (I use it on my lap, while waiting for son poolside. So it keeps me warm, too!) Highly recommend this one!

My 4 year old daughter is continuing swim lessons through the winter at an outdoor pool so I wanted to purchase something to make that commitment a little easier. She is 40 lbs., 40 inches and wears a 5T. Typically she wears an XS, but I figured the small would work and she could grow into it (I wear a small and my parka is a large and I like the room to layer, it just runs long). The jacket is a nicer quality than I expected. I like the new fleece lining (as opposed to the traditional fur linings) because it''s a nice quality, keeps her warm, and feels better on the skin when she''s damp. Taking in mind I bought a size up, her jacket skims the ground but mobility is not an issue because their is a dual zipper in the front and the back has a slit up it so her movement is not restricted (I can even put her in her 5 point restraint harness/ car seat with it on).
There is a pocket inside with a slit for ear buds although I don''t know how well it works since she doesn''t have her own listening device yet, but it''ll be ideal when she''s a bit older. There are also typical pockets on the outside and a nice little pocket on the inside to stow stuff away.
The jacket is cut so it appears tiered which is designed to allow ventilation. I anticipate this will be nice when it gets a bit warmer and to allow the inner material to circulate/ dry; but now since it''s cold we don''t really pay attention to it.
My only complaint is that the elastic cuffs on her hand are quite snuff and it''s hard for her to get her hands through. My concern is as she grows larger that it''ll be restricting, but for now it''s not a problem. Great jacket overall for the price.

I bought this for my average sized son on his 9th birthday. I bought him a youth large and it fits him perfectly. My older son who is 11 put it on and it fits him. I''m 5''7 and I can wear it although I would feel more comfortable in an adult small! Keeps him warm during meets and has tons of pockets! Best investment yet for swim! I think I''ll get one for me to wear while I watch him swim! I haven''t found anything I don''t like about it!
