Only product I've found that fits my wide, high arch feet. A little stiffer than I like but believe it will be good for my legs after I adjust to them. Definitely better for training than snorkeling.
Yes these fins don't float and are not the weight of a feather. They are meant for a pool. Just put them on...they are very fast and best of all respond to proper swim technique. I've had them a year and love them as part of my swim workout. I am able to use them with all kinds of kicks with no trouble.
I use these fins for body boarding and had an older pair for a couple of years. Unfortunately, I lost one several weeks ago and ordered these as replacements. THESE FINS DON'T FLOAT! I went into the ocean last weekend to try our my new Tech 2's, and I was really impressed! Compared to my older ones, these have a slightly different design and are made of a softer material, making them more comfortalbe. I couldn't believe how easy it was to swim with these! The angle seems just right and I was amazed at how fast I could go with so little effort. I love them and recommend them highly!
I love these fins. The silicone one-piece construction means no blisters and no adjustment straps flapping around to cause drag. The heel strap looks flimsy in the picture, like it would break easily, but it's actually very sturdy and will last a very long time. I wear a women's 7.5 shoe, and the Size M fits me very well. I have a little extra toe room, so it would probably easily fit the stated range to size 8, but it doesn't flop around on me.These fins are slightly heavier than rubber fins, but that's part of the design. They help keep my kick just under the surface of the water, where it belongs. They don't "feel" heavy while swimming though. My kick just feels smooth and fast.
After not working out regularly for more than a year, I wanted to include swimming in my regimen. I saw lot's of people using fins to swim laps so I thought I would get a pair to try out. The fact that the Hydro Techs were made from silicone rubber told me they should be comfortable. Not only do they feel good, they are also very lightweight but still stiff enough to power you through the water. I can swim much longer and get a great workout. More than worth the money for me.
I used these fins everyday for a week in the Bahamas for snorkeling and found them to be the most comfortable fins that I have ever used. There were no tender spots on my legs and feet and the fins provided great propulsion in strong currents. They are also easy to walk around in and take on and off. I can't imagine using anything else.
I am a master swimmer and use these fins during warm-up to build leg muscle. They are comfortable and fit well. However, they are somewhat heavy and do not float.
These fins are really nice. They are very very comfortable because the silicone material conforms to your foot like a custom fit shoe, making the comfort level excellent. The silicone material of the fins are thick enough and firm enough to provide excellent performance in the water. For the people complaining about the weight of these fins, give me a break. They do weigh a little more than cheap plastic fins, but in the water they feel like a feather. If the extra weight of these fins are a problem for you, you better hit the gym and start working out before jumping into the pool. I have tried several brands of plastic/rubber fins, but these are the best by far. I use these fins for working out in the pool. I am looking forward to using these in the ocean snorkling. I even bought a second pair for a gift. If you want really comfortable fins that perform well, buy these fins and you will not be disappointed. You will not be disappointed by Swimoutlet.com either, they have great prices, they ship quickly, they have very reasonable shipping rates, and excellent Customer service.
I wear a men's size 10 shoe and the large fins fit me perfect;verry comfortable, not too tight and no slop.;no chaffing or pinching even with no liner socks .I had read previous reviews before purchasing about the fins being too dense and heavy; I found no problems here, their weight was just right for me.these are the best fins I have ever used in the pool; doubled my work out time; They re' a blast ,I hate to get out of the pool. In my opinion they re' definitely worth the cost.
These fins are great and have totally helped to maximize my workouts. I have reduce lower back strain and have easily doubled the laps I swim. I have size 12 wide feet and these fit perfectly. I think a 14 normal would fit in these fins. The silicone really is comfortable and has never caused any discomfort during extended swims. No cons to report.
