My children had stated they were having slight difficulties with sculling, and the coach recommended getting sculling paddles to see if that would help the children at practice when doing sculling drills. So far we''ve not heard any complaints but should see positive results at the next swim meet.

I use this at masters workouts. I don''t enjoy using paddles at all (and thus the four stars -- I don''t use them a ton and can''t comment as well as others might), but if I must, this pair is more "natural" feeling than the giant, shoulder-tweaking varieties that I have used in the past. This gets the glide going without putting a great deal of strain on my shoulders. They feel fairly natural but do provide enough assistance to help me keep up with the others during pull sets. I either swim with buoy only or use these during the pull sets.

I have small hands so the jr paddles fit well. They are fun to use. If your stroke is off the paddles will let you know.

These paddles are light yet they really help with the technique and feel of the water.

Great not only for sculling but speed development as well, we called these things "speed paddles" when I was an assistant at the Big Ten level. Very good for fast 15's, 20's or 25's with fins or no fins, very good for blast type work, very good for sculling. The trick is not so much finding creative ways to use these paddles...but the trick is more so getting your athletes to understand what happens when they do use them. Are they a technician of their own stroke? Do they feel the pressure on the fingers and can they move water with their tips? I love using these with a snorkel and a buoy and seeing how fast they can scull with these with a flat body. Also very good to use on the power towers as you can scull with resistance. Not sure what that does exactly but i am sure it doesnt hurt the catch up front and can only make it better

I love my new finger paddles. They took a little getting used to, but once I got the hang of them, they were great. I still get a really good workout with them, but they don't hurt my shoulders like the regular paddles do. I feel like I am flying through the water with them.
