I have used Ryka shoes for years. I teach Aqua aerobics at my club and find that the majority of my members also have Ryka shoes. They provide good stability to do power aerobics. They stand up well under the use and the chlorine in the water.

This design has wonderful support especially during aquacise. It takes some getting used to putting it on. Dry-I use a plastic shoe horn. Wet seems easier. Fits my narrow man''s foot just fine. Who knows?

I wear them during my aqua aerobics class. They give me needed support and feel good on my feet. I wear an 8 narrow, and they fit well.

Two people recommended Ryca water shoes. My old Speedo water shoes fell apart in less than a year (Hydro Comfort 1) and I loved them - very comfortable and supportive. The Comfort IIs are nothing like the Comfort 1''s so I ordered the Ryca. I like them, more supportive than the Speedos but the fit is not terrific. The right shoe is wider than the left shoe (I measured them). The right shoe fits fine but the left is too tight but since the left foot is my smaller foot, I am living with it. Never have had this problem before.

I instruct 4 times a week and need good shoes. I miss the older version of Ryka water shoes (originals) so have had to try the newer versions. Ryka 4 are OK. Not keen on the lock in shoe string on side but can adjust tightness evenely. Would prefer the slide toggle method more. (Easier to use when shoes are wet, and trying to get off.) I also feel like the shoe is not tall enough on bridge of foot, for ankle support. I do miss the original shoes don''t I ?!

I bought this pair of shoes to wear to water aerobics. They are very comfortable. They give the feeling of having "ankle weights" on in deep water--adding drag and trying to float. They dry quickly--I do classes several days in a row and they were dry or nearly dry the next day. I have a high instep and I wish the elastic cord was a little longer to allow better access to putting on the shoe. The tongue can get in the way of the foot entry also.

I was concerned about ordering on line and size. I read some of the other reviews and someone had suggested you order a 1/2 size larger. I did this and they fit great.

Great for aqua fit class. Protects heel and arches so you can work stronger without slipping on the pool floor. Stay secure on your feet instead of becoming loose like slip ons. Love these!
