I use this top roughly 6 hours a week in the water (H20 practice, lap swimming) because I rotate it with my other suits. I have had this top for three months now and there have been no changes in the elasticity of the strings, and the fabric has not stretched much.
I like racerback/criss-cross back suits in general because they provide an even amount of pull across your back, as opposed to halter tops which pull a lot on your neck and many bandeau tops that are cute for fashion, but not so cute for lap swimming and recreational water sports. I own this style of top in several different brands, and I think that this Sporti brand suit is well worth the price because it holds up very well and stays on without difficulty.
This top did not disappoint, and I never felt a moment where I was worried that I needed to re-tie my suit in case it stretched out too much in the water.
The one thing that I do not like about this suit is the cups. I wish Sporti would make a version of this suit where the cups are either cut so that they ARE the triangles, sewn into the suit. A different way that Sporti could improve this top is making a version where the material is a lot thicker so that the top does not come with cups at all. I feel like the cups, when wet, do not hold any shape at all and do not effectively offer any sort of protection/coverage when it gets cold.
I swam a few practices without the cups in and the material feels very thin (almost, too thin). I felt uncomfortable and it was only in this case that I wished the top were made of a thicker (perhaps 100% polyester?) material.
I would have rated this product a lot lower but I do still feel that it is an excellent product for the price. Keeping that in mind, even with the unattractiveness/ineffectiveness of the removable cups, I would still recommend this top.
