Very good item
By John H. from Flagstaff, AZ on 11/19/2009
Size: Feels true to size

This is the third pair of these that I have owned. I swim in a chlorinated pool twice a week and rinse these out immediately after use. I have gotten about 2-3 years of use out of each pair before the inside lining comes loose or some of the outside coating on the fabric begins to deteriorate. They are not roomy  or loose which is great because I like swimming without any excess drag.

Great for daily laps
By William B. from University Heights, OH on 11/13/2009
Size: Feels true to size

I'm a daily lap swimmer in an indoor pool and this is a fine suit for that. Feels good, fits well, and helps me keep on moving. And it's my second one. Long-lasting, too!

perfect suit for training
By Frank from Washington, DC on 11/9/2009
Size: Feels true to size

Great suit all around.  The sizing was true to size and the material is perfect.  Some reviewers though this was cut slightly lower than other brands, and they may be correct, but I thought it was pretty close to a normal American front cut.

The material is very durable.  My only complaint in that the TYR logo is not stitched -- simply a iron-on type logo that I am sure will break off and fade quickly.  Nevertheless, for a regular work out suit, this will probably be my work horse and I will use it often.

Hi, I swim 3 to 5 times a week. This is my third TYR suit and I have to say they hold up remarkably well to chlorine etc. Everyone I speak with buys their swim gear here so you all must be doing something right! I, for one, have been pleased with the selection and service.

I like TYR
By swimmer from Greensboro, NC on 10/9/2009
Size: Feels true to size

I have worn TYR suits in the past and liked them a lot, I like the cut and the way they fit my body much better than Speedo. I swim 5 days a week and a lycra/nylon suit only lasts 6 months at best. Two years ago I got some polyester suits (I bought what was cheapest) and they have held up well. But this time I thought I would see what a TYR poly suit was like and I am very pleased it fits just like the lycra/nylon suits. Now the poof is, will it hold up?? I wish they made it in more colors/patterns I am tired of black and navy blue.

Great material!
By Oliver from CA on 9/11/2009
Size: Feels too small

These are great briefs made of wonderfully resistant material.  If there is one problem with them it's that they feel a bit too small.  I tried a 32 first, which is my normal size, but it was way too tight in the thighs, not in the waist.  But the 34 fits great.  I would recommend getting two sizes and returning the one that doesn't fit as well, just to be sure.  Otherwise, a great product.  I will buy it again.

Tyr Cut/Manufacturing Has Changed
By JWA from CA on 9/2/2009

Bought some Tyr durafast briefs about two years ago and they ran small -- had to size up from 34 to 36, and they then fit well.  Recently I bought two more (one poly splice, one plain) and now the 36 is too loose in the seat so that it flaps about when swimming and everything can move about.  Returned one 36 for a 34, which got rid of the loose seat problem, but the waist is a bit tight.  It would seem that Tyr has either changed its pattern or a new factory is involved that doesn't quite make them the same as they once were.  (I did notice the seam at the base of the crotch has changed, and it seems like the rise is longer as well.)  I prefered the old style/mfr, as it gave a better fit and look.  Still a good, durable suit however; it just could be better

nice fit

Good coverage for a brief suit. Works well under a jammer that is worn thin.
