The watch works as described. Burned up many runner''s watches that counted laps and time due to leaks prior to finding this one. Used it for an entire season last summer. Would not recommend for keeping time outside lap swimming but for keeping track of my workout it worked well.

Easy to use product that from first use proved accurate. It also has a larger display that is suited to an older guy with not great eyesight. Only problem I''ve encountered is that the band could have been an inch longer to accommodate bigger wrists.

This thing is accurate and amazing. I find myself staying in the water longer to burn more calories. I''ve improved my times since getting this watch! Wonderful addition to my workout gear! :)

I'm 65 and swim 20000 yds a day. The poolmate has accurately kept track of my distance and time but most importantly tells me how many calories I burned. No problems at all with my crawl but sometimes it doesn't record every lap with my backstroke.

I really love this watch. For me, it was really easy to program and is always accurate. it''s great not having to wonder, I am on lap 12 or 14....with this....I always know just where I am. I tend to swim distance so the watch is great for timing myself. Love this! If you are thinking about getting the swimovate...I think you should!

There are several excellent reviews So i will not try to match them. I will say that I am new to lap swimming (6 weeks now), swim 1000 yards 5 days a week and that I hate counting laps. i find this watch to be a good stopwatch but little more. It does not count laps well for me and is worse at counting strokes. It is great at timing and tracking sets as long as I don''t press one of the side buttons when I am pushing the stop or start button, which I do more often as I grow tired. I do not find this watch useful for anything other than fixed sets, except, of course, to track total time in the pool. I did try both left and right hands with no difference in performance. I bought a finger timer which is cheaper and served the same function, but it was very small and I managed to lose it after two days; the watch is harder to misplace. I will reset the watch and try again after another week or two to see if my stroke is easier to track after more practice, but my initial experience has not lived up to advertising or matched the good experiences of others.

I''m working on a long distance swim, and counting laps gets confusing after so long. This watch is a dream for me because I''m not worried about miscounting, and being number obsessive like I am, it delights me to study the sets in the log and track my progress. I highly recommend this watch.
