I got this specifically to provide a little extra warmth for snorkeling and it was perfect. Excellent fit, no bulk, no chafing, no noticeable unwanted buoyancy. Just that little extra warmth.

I previously reviewed the size Large. I just got a replacement size XL, and it fits much better. Here are the actual measurements of the XL (lying flat, not stretched): chest 42", waist 35". Because I had to go up a size, it's a little longer than I'd like it to be. I don't have a non-neoprene Dakine rash guard to compare it to, so I don't know if the tight sizing is unique to just the neo-insulator or Dakine's sizing is simply wack. I do notice the neoprene panels (the black parts) aren't as stretchy as the lycra (gray) parts, so maybe that's the issue with the size chart being a size too small? At any rate, my advice is go up a size from what their chart says - and even then, expect a wetsuit-like snug (but not uncomfortable) fit. I'm happy with the quality, so if Dakine would just properly label the sizes (and maybe shorten the length), I'd give it 5 stars.

Nicely made hybrid between a rash guard and a neoprene jacket. Would have given it 5 stars but Dakine's size chart said I needed a "Large" (I'm a 42" chest, 35" waist, 40" hip). However, It was too tight across my chest and I could barley zip up the back. The actual measurements of the size "Large" shirt are 38" chest, 32" waist, 34" hip. Granted, it's supposed to be a snug fit, but it shouldn't be so uncomfortably tight. Sent it back and am waiting for an XL; I'll post the actual measurements of that when I get it.

ordered it in my size but fits really snug. Insulating panel holds the extra flesh in so even though snug, you look good.

Good fitting, non-restricting allowing full movement. However after about 30 uses x 1000 yard swim, lost elasticity and stretched out of shape. I like the product, good price, and this is the second one I've purchased. Would just like to get more uses out of it.
