There isn't enough support under the arms to support a big busted woman (D-DD cup). The cup is small and your breast droop on the sides from lack of support leaving you with an unsightly breast roll on both sides. The shoulder straps could be shortened a bit. I'm 5' 7 1/2 and the straps are too long for me. The sizing runs large. I ordered my regular size and needed to return it for a smaller size. Other than that I love this suit because of the hard bra, somewhat snug support on the inside abdomen area of the suit. (wish you would add that same snug support in the rear part too) The color is spectacular! I will buy another one of these suits when they add more support for large breast.
This fits well and does wonders for an older body. It doesn't ride up and it comes up far enough at the top to hide that underarm bulge of fat. Also it doesn't show nearly as much cleavage as swimsuits designed for younger bodies. The next suit I buy will be a Maxine!
I have used this suit for about three months 2 or 3 times per week for water therapy. It's one of the best suits --figure flattering, good fit --I've ever had but after a couple of months the great color is completely faded and dull. Very disappointing. I'd give it 5 stars but the color doesn't hold well.
The suit gaps in the crotch and is embarrasing. Maybe the area in crotch is not wide enough for heavier people or the elastic is not thight enough. The plastic breasts should be a option and I would have ordered the suit without plastic pointie thingies on top of the thingies I have. I will remove the thingies if possible. My husband says the suit looks great. I like the fact that it is nylon and fast drying. I am a serious swimmer and would like colorful tank suits in darker florals. thanks
I especially like the hard cup bra, which gives enough support for my 78 year old breasts. I'm sewing the straps to the appropriate length, fearing that if a button comes lose, I might have a wardrobe malfunction at an inopportunte time. I have used the suit alternately with another - four days a week...and so far, so good. I do rinse the suit carefully each time with a chlorine-off product, hoping it will last a good long time, as I don't see many suits similar to this one. I'd like to see more Maxine suits.
Love the color, love the suit. Hated the hard cups. They really are hard and uncomfortable.
I haven't worn a swimsuit in years, but decided to try this one. Legs are cut low, it's a flattering color (not black!), has shaped bra and is long enough not to pull up or down in embarassing places. I was skeptical as I pulled it on, but looked in the mirror and ran to show my husband . . . I look great in it! I'll actually wear this in public, and that's what I like best.
Beautiful, vibrant colors - exactly as pictured. Bought it for pool therapy, and even though I haven't worn it yet I am confident it will wear well. Fabric is good quality, seams are secure, and fit - outstanding. The style is exceptionally flattering, and makes me look trimmer than the two other suits that I own. My husband LOVES the way it looks on me, and gave compliments galore. Quite an ego booster for a middle-aged woman sporting many more pounds than I would like. :)
So far, so good. I have used this suit in an indoor pool once a week for a month. So far it is holding up to the chlorine. The hard cups were something to get used to, but not uncomfortable. The fabric is thinner than expected, but at this point is okay. Perhaps the best part is that my husband says the suit is flattering!
I was very pleased with the fit, and the colors and fabric were beautiful. Just what I wanted.
