It's a very muffled sound and the ear pieces are not comfortable.
The earbuds that come with it constantly either fall out or do not seal well. I ordered the replacement SPEEDO headphones and found those earplugs (the Christmas tree looking ones) to work great, however the replacement headphones were too small and are probably meant to be worn by children...
Used it for 2 weeks, and it stopped working mid workout. Now I have to return it and hope the next one doesn't break. Go with he bone conduction one, I've heard great things.
I use this product while I am working out and when I swim. I found the unit easy to use and load with songs from Itunes. It automatically converted the songs to MP3s.The thing I find annoying is that the ear phones will not stay in your ears regardless of which ear buds you use. I am not sure if I received an older version of the ear buds or not but, the ones I received do not match the pictures. I ordered a new set from Speedo and we will see which ones I get. Other than that I really like the unit and hope it lasts a long time.MM
I am very happy with this player. I can clearly hear music, and understand spoken voice (for podcasts, or books on tape). I have tried a few waterproof players, and this one is the only one that ever worked to my satisfaction. I find the earbuds frequently need adjustment, but I think I need to switch out the earbuds, to get them to fit me better (which I hope will solve this problem). I am very happy with this product.
It was easy to load music on it, I just have no idea how the program works that came w/ it. I was able to just open the player as a folder and click and drag songs from iTunes into it. I have a hard time hearing the music while swimming, because swimming is louder than you think and the headphones keep coming out. However, I do have a problem w/ earbud type headphones staying in general. It worked awesome when I used it kayaking and snorkeling. I might try different headphones for swimming laps though. Overall it wasn't the same experience as biking or running w/ my mp3 player.
I have been using it for about a week now. It is a great mp3 for the price. My only complaint is that the headphones are not the best. One side does seem to cut out quite often while it is playing, and they are not the ones that are pictured in the ad.
This device is great for people who log hours in the water and aren't super worried about how the music sounds (this MP3 will keep you going, but you might not get the nuances of every sonic moment). It's easy to add your music to it, and it's comfortable to wear in the water. I find it to be fairly streamlined. The ear plugs don't fit perfectly, and when water gets in the edges, the sound becomes muffled. But I can still hear enough to keep me swimming! I'm a long distance swimmer, and I can tell this device will make some of my long swims fly by a lot faster!
The item did not work. I had to send it back. it was a piece of junk made in china. Save your money buy the ipod case that you can swim with. I did and I am loving it.
easy to download and easy to use. Not easy to clip on if you don't wear goggles. sound quality just fine, but a little basic on features. ear plugs seem fine. Not able to figure out if I can play random songs yet. I only seem able to go forwards or backwards song by song. Not able to choose the album, only the next song whatever that may be. Could be more bytes and features, but this was a gift and what a wonderful gift to get.
