My 8 year old son loves this hat. Had a blast with it at the beach. It dries pretty fast and is light weight. I highly recommend this hat to any sun lovers.

I use the hat for surfing and sailing and it really stays on and protects my face. The downside is that with the ear flaps and the way it comes way down over my forehead it looks really really dorky.

This hat would be good for boating, but I may return it because it's not the color shown. I bought one for my kids who liked the dark gray color shown, but didn't like the light gray we received. The fabric looks like really good sun cover, but it's a little stiff and the fit was not relaxed looking. I also bought one for my husband and he will probably keep his - it's very practical.

I use this hat on a daily basis to teach surf lessons and then to surf afterwards and have yet to get burned. I will buy another one when this one runs it's course.

This hat is going to be great for my upcoming trip. Love the secret pocket on top of the hat. My only comment is, the cost of the hat is too pricey for something that is "made in China"!
