My son loves his new waterproof mp3 player! Very glad he is happy..
Weight is minimal for use on goggle strap. Good sound and capacity for music.
I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews before buying this product. I seriously considered the "jawbone" products, but ultimately decided to go with this in-the-ear product. I have only swam laps with it once so far, for a little less than an hour (3000 yards), in a pool. I was VERY pleased with it! I attached it to the back of my goggle strap, coiled up the extra wire slack, and then put my swim cap over the top (I always put my goggles under my swim cap... it's a triathlon thing... helps prevent losing your goggles when you get hit in the head during the mass start swim). It was not cumbersome at all, the ear buds stayed in my ears without any problem at all, and I was very happy with the sound quality.
I've had this mp3 player for a couple of months now, and I've been more than pleased. When I swim laps I've always gone into my own world. Now the world I go into can be customized by the music I've selected to hear. Technically: this is a water-tight rig, it works very well for me, especially with the longer plugs that come with it. The sound is clear - not outstanding, but these are earbuds after all - quite satisfactory. I have even used it while driving home from the pool. A couple of suggestions: use zip-tie loops to hold the ear bud cords to your goggle strap - if you happen to catch one of them with a hand in motion, you can ruin a pair of ear buds (as I did). Get into a routine of recharging (USB connection to computer or USB hub) about once a week. I like this little rig so much that I bought one for my 22-year-old son.
I have just had this a short while, but I am very happy with it. I did not find it difficult to load music on at all. The manual is just bare bones, but gives enough pertinent info. I also bought the waterproof Ipod case system; it works well , but is MUCH bulkier. I am very happy with this product. I have had some issues with water getting in around the earplugs, but I just need to find the right fit.I wish I had bought this 6 months ago when I started looking at all these products!!
I use this product while swimming laps. It is a great way to help pass the time. It has great sound and holds lots of music. I swim 5 days a week for 1.5 hours each day. I only have to charge it once a week. It is easy to download music and to charge. You do have to be really careful to make sure the earplugs are screwed in tight to avoid water damage though.
