My 2 year old daughter was constantly struggling to get away from me in the pool so she could swim on her own. With the help of Puddle Jumpers she finally can! I love that she has so much confidence in the water now- she even has learned how to float on her back while wearing this. I am thrilled with the purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone who has a young, headstrong child that loves the water, but doesn't like being held.

We bought 2 of the lion Puddle Jumpers. They are adorable, comfortable and safe. We've used them in a pool & my son was very secure. He's about 40-45 pounds.

Obviously still requires supervision, but, our two year old was able to let go of us and "swim" for a bit by herself using the Puddle Jumper. It's awesome!

My biggest fear is the water. My step-mother bought this for my daughter. She can float on her own. She feels safe. She prefers to wear this. This vest is such a God send! Once my daughter is able to kick she will be able to learn to swim with the help of this vest. She is confidant and eager to be in the water because it. Yes, I still supervisor her because she isn't old enough to have a sense of her body quite yet, but after a couple days using this she had better balance when floating. Thank you!! I will order another for her other Grandma's house.

Timid grand kids are weened off holding on to them and they experience more of the fun in the water.  Hopefully will lead to their swimming on their own but every one takes to the water differently.  Still need to keep an eye on kids.

Great product, best thing for a fearless 2 yr old!  First saw them at the YMCA and decided to get one for home.

A little large for my two-year-old but a good product.

I bought this for my 20 month old son's first time in a pool. He hasn't started swimming lessons yet so we were holding onto him the whole time except for a few seconds here and there to see how the life jacket works. It kept him from rotating forward and getting his face in the water and rotated him towards his back.  It does just as I had hoped it would. I love that it doesn't end up in his face like a normal life vest and it fits snugly.  It will be even better after he has more experience in the water and gains some skills.

This product is used at a YMCA.  The polyester materials holds up better than the nylon ones in a pool.  They are much more comfortable than the inexpensive     type II life vests.  The nylon ones ripped first where the arms attach.  This style is NOT approved for boats.

William P. Hilger started what would become Stearns, Inc. among the lakes and plains of central Minnesota. His first successful product was an electrically powered windshield heater that was a big hit in the colder climates of central Minnesota in the late 1920's, and eventually was a must-have product for cars from California to Maine. The company changed hands after World War II and became Stearns Manufacturing Company. The heating systems in cars had matured to the point where, anymore, the idea of needing a frost shield was old-fashioned. The business then turned towards the future: Plastics.

In the ensuing decades, Stearns would manufacture high quality outdoor products such as life jackets, water ski belts, and plastic boat interiors. Federal law changes in 1971 allowed companies to actually design a better looking Type III PFD that didn't have to be a bulky orange block. This was the starter's gun in a race towards ownership of the designed PFD market; a race that Stearns would easily win. In 2008, Coleman added to its family of brands the distinct quality of Stearns products, the most recognized player in the life jacket business. It’s a natural fit.

Many of your favorite Stearns® products are designed, made and assembled in the US. Stearns, a subsidiary of The Coleman Company, Inc., is investing millions of dollars into the Sauk Rapids, MN facility where these world-class products are designed, tested and made to higher standards. It's just one more way we bring quality, safety and innovation to the water.
