I found that the strap on the sock pulled the sock down overnight causing the strap to become loose.  I have not seen that it has improved my condition.

    Feels too big

I ordered this product in hopes of helping the symptoms of achilles tendonitis. It holds the toes back and stretches the heal and relieves the pain. I have used it for 3 weeks and the symptoms are slowly subsiding.
The problems I am having are:
Way too long--I am 4feet 11 inches and there is an excess of 5 inches which goes up over my knee and up my thigh. When I bunch it up mid thigh it ends up slipping down to the ankle. Then the sock is too loose on the foot and there is  no tension on the toe strap. I now fold the excess down and back up so the upper strap is below the knee. That ends up being too binding, it hurts and the sock slips down.
The toe strap is also too long for my short leg.

Is there any way this sock can be made according to foot length and length of leg from heel to just below knee?

The sock is easy to use; however, I have found that it doesn't perform to the extent that I expected and wanted it to, or that other reviewers had said it would.  The top of the sock gradually slips down during the course of the night while I'm alseep and by morning my toes are not being held up in the raised position in which they started the night before when I put the sock on.  Also, the D-ring that the strap slides through moves around too easily and ends up turning sideways during the night which causes the tension in the velcro strap to loosen, thus allowing my toes to drop back into a non-raised position.  The sock does provide some benefit in that it does prevent me from pointing my toes while asleep, which does help in preventing the achilles from shortening during the night, just not to the extent desired.  I have noticed that my achilles is not as tight and stiff upon wakening in the morning and getting out of bed.  Also, the velcro strap that goes around your leg beneath the knee is uncomfortable if you're a side-sleeper and irritating to the skin on the opposite leg.  For what the sock actually does (versus what it claims it will do), it's over-hyped and WAY over-priced.

As others have stated it may be helpful to have a firm insert on the bottom portion of the ball of the foot so the toes do not take the brunt of the pressure when wearing the sock.

I have been plagued with plantar fascitis & had to take a break from running.  Finally bought the sock after also using all the other methods to heal.  I love it!  Only been using it for one week &I can already tell a big difference.  Well worth the money to be able to run again.  It's actually pretty comfortable & no problem sleeping with it on.  A must try!

I bought this sock based on a recommendation from my foot Dr. for my plantar faciitis. It really keeps the foot in a position that keeps the tendon stretched while you sleep and feels so good to get up in the morning with out the stabbing pain in my foot. I used to have to get up and do some stretching to loosen up my foot, but no need since I started using the Strassburg Sock.  I also do not have any pain anymore during the day.  It is very easy to use and is surprisingly comfortable.  My only concern is that it will not last too long.  It needs more reinforcing all around the front end of the foot, and maybe a little padding around the top where you secure it around the leg, but we'll see how long it lasts.  Even if it does wear out prematurely, I would definitely buy another one.  Beats the pain!
