With more insulation and protection than standard suits, the TYR Boys' Solid Thermal Suit is perfect for little swimmers who get cold easily. The short sleeve design provides optimal coverage and comfort for versatile wear.
This is not a wet suit
Unless they tell you how thick it is, just assume it is thin. We will see how warm it keeps my son next spring.

Definitely too small! And I can't return it
My son is slimmer than average but taller than most 6yrs old. I bought 7/8, and it is still much too small. I should have bought 8/9 but I really did not expect the size to be that much smaller. We'll use it for the next few weeks and see if it stretches. It is thicker than the other thermals we have bought – but not as thick as I would like it. Problem is that this product is non returnable, which is not ideal on Swim Outlets end. Especially with a product that has had so many if-y reviews about size discrepency.
The shoulder could use the same material. My kids are skinnier then average so they didn't fill the suit out which is ideal to keep new water coming in which is why they get cold. I did buy one size larger so the length was fine. Overall it's a good wetsuit.

Easy to get on and off my disabled son. Keeps him warm in a 45 minute PT session where he doesn't move much. Great product. Stands up to a lot of use. Highly recommend it.

Fit: Feels too small
Not true to size and too thin
My son is 57 lbs under 48 inches tall. I ordered size 7-8. It is too small, looks like about 4 inches short for his fit. 2mm is very thin, doesn't feel like a wet suit at all. It feels like a regular swim suit. I was very disappointed. I ended up returning it.
Size too small, too thin, not warm enough
My boy is 57 lbs and I purposely ordered a suit for 60 to 70 lbs but it is still too small. The material is not thick enough, feels like regular swim shirt. I had to return it.
Good suit for the price
Its a great wetsuit for the price. I would order up at least a size. Short frm neck to legs
