Compact enough to be packed for travel; one draw back is that the rubber is too hard on the heels; prefer rubber with more flexibility.
I have bad knees and swimming is my best non-impact excercise. These fins really work my legs, enhance my workout, and have taken the place of any gym equipment. Love them!!!!!
Used in small wave action, not enough kick or power. Feels okay forswimming but use to fins with more power. Surprised by smallnessof fin size -- length and width. Think you folks should show measurements and weight. For example, the advertised original duck feet fins, to me, are not the original which I have. New ones size and weight specs larger and heavier. Regarding size, my feet are extra wide. I'm using the Orca's now, feels pretty good, lookingfor extra large. Can't beat the true original duck feet -- have had minefor decades, riped and quite beat up now.ALOHA,b.surfer
I typically swim 10 to 12 miles a week, up to 16 miles on long weeks. As a disabled Vet, swimming is very important to me. I have owned 6 or 7 pairs of these Speedo fins. They fit well and I rinse them after every swim. I swim most laps with Zoomers and from 8 to 16 laps with these Speedo fins when I do IMs, breaststroke, or elementary backstroke (whip kick). Every pair tears on the bottom, outside edge. Once the tear is more than a couple of inches, the fins become uncomfortable. My first pairs lasted hundreds of miles, but the latest less than 10 before beginning to fail at the edge. The material in the past few years is more brittle than it was before. I hope Speedo fixes the design/material flaw.Professor Rick ;-)
The fins are great training fins: not to big but give you enough push to work on your swim technique.
I really like these fins. First time at the pool with these the pool manager tried them and she also bought some. Rubbing a little so I wear little golf socks which help alot. Hopefully they will break in.
