This snorkel is recommended for my son's competitive swim team. It must work well for many swimmers. However, it was not a good fit for my average-sized twelve year old. The head piece was too curved for his forehead -- it would not lie flat, so the ends dug into his forehead and it pulled upward, making the mouthpiece not fit well either. We returned and re-ordered a TYR that fit him well in the past.
