In 1992, Shane Cooper began experimenting with a knitting machine given to him by his father. He discovered a way to knit athletic socks that was completely new to the market: he used traditional knitting methods and reversed them.
His first product, dubbed the Air-E-Ator, sparked a revolution in athletic socks that continues to be a staple in the DeFeet collection. Each product in the DeFeet line is inspired by athletes' never-ending quest for greatness. Everyone can benefit from lessons learned on the world's most difficult courses. From racers to walkers, the DeFeet line will enhance the performance of each and every individual.
